Charisse’s mind was in the zone as she brushed dye on Tanya’s roots. Tanya’s daughter had thrown a party while Tanya was out of town with her husband, and the cops had been called. Charisse was always surprised when customers told her these stories because she always kept her life to herself. She didn’t want people knowing the dirty details of contracts and billionaires. She hadn’t even been able to tell her lady luvs yet that she’d be gone all next week or tell Letti she’d be in charge. But Tanya seemed to revel in complaining about the disaster. Continue reading

When Conor saw Roy and the captain sitting at the table of Maloney & Porcelli with the two other crew members, anger colored his thoughts. Everyone stood up as he approached. He shook the captain’s hand, followed by the first mate and doctor of the ship. The other two were the same age as the captain or maybe a little older. He nodded his head curtly towards Roy and sat down. Continue reading

The Beautician and the Billionaire 6: Scene 4

When we last left Charisse and Conor, Conor was seducing Charisse into a morning tumble in the sheets. Thanks to all of you who purchased Episode 6 over the weekend to find out what happened!! I’m still smiling about it this morning! Here are the plot points you missed if you haven’t read the sex scene: Conor intentionally did not bring her to climax, but she was so good he promised her a week in Puerto Rico. Enjoy!

When Charisse finally showered and dressed, she made her way to the kitchen, hoping there would be something for her for breakfast. She wasn’t expecting a full bacon, eggs and hash brown meal, but a bagel would be good or at least a cup of yogurt. Continue reading

Barista!

Practicing my barista skills today. I haven’t decided on a drink for the next Holiday Cafe book, but I have a few ideas. Also, my urban fantasy series coming out in May, Through the Magic, will take place at a coffee house in Old Town Albuquerque. That story will be all about the special roasts, but I might want a few fancy drinks for it too.

Motorcycle Hero

I mentioned last night that I’m working on transforming Shifting Into Love from a short story to a novella. I’ve been checking out different photos for the cover and wanted your opinion. Here’s tonight’s offering:

Yay? Nay?

I wish he had a leather jacket on or no jacket instead of a hoody.

Also, Shifting into Love is a slip stream story, which means it has fantastical elements with no explanations. Readers have been telling me they’d like to know why Samantha’s connected to the bar. Why her sister isn’t connected. Where the heck did the bar come from anyway? I’d love to hear from more readers about the backstory issue. Do you want more details about the bar, or do you like not knowing?

Thanks for the help! Please comment below!

The Beautician and the Billionaire 6: Scene 2

Charisse lay curled up in the dark. The high thread count cotton sheets and pillow top mattress gave her no comfort. At least she had pajamas on. She was sure they were what Raul had chosen and not something Conor picked out. They were plain knit shorts and a cami. By tomorrow night she’d probably be sleeping in a sheer teddy…if she was lucky. For all she knew he’d really go the whole slave route, and she’d be sleeping in cuffs and a collar. Maybe chained to the bed. Continue reading
