Summer Frappe Bar is Open

In an attempt to save some money this summer, I’ve decided to cut back on my visits to coffee shops. But I don’t want to cut back on frappes 🙂

The Madhava Organic Salted Caramel Coffee Syrup Agave Sweetened Low Glycemic is the best ever! As you can see, I’m not always a person to buy organic, but this was exactly the flavor I wanted so I gave it a try. Wow! I have to try their other flavors now because it’s so rich. I found it at Target of all places. If you are a salted caramel fan you must get it!

Corporate Fire is now on sale for a $1.99. If you missed it last week, there’s still time to get it for less than full price!

Thanks for all the new likes last week! It was an exciting week for me!

Romance for Grown-Ass Women

I spent last evening with my publicist and the lovely ladies of NAWBO–National Association of Women Business Owners. The keynote speaker was Anne Rhoades. She spoke about Brand You. After listening to her, I think I’ve done a poor job of branding myself. I write about people with everyday jobs and struggles who still find fantastic romantic partners. But I water my descriptions down in the hopes of still catching the attention of readers who love billionaire romance books. This is wrong.

I need to own what I do so people aren’t disappointed reading my stories and expecting something else. More importantly, I need to own what I do so the right readers will find my books.

My new catch phrase: Romance for Grown-Ass Women.

My characters struggle against the world and each other. My heroines are not always happy and my heroes aren’t stalkers. They’re people like you and me, but they always get a happily ever after.

If that’s the kind of story you’re looking for, then please give Corporate Fire a try while it’s on sale for $0.99. I hope you enjoy reading through the highs and lows of Grace and Royce while they find their way to their Happily Ever After.

Nails and Sale II!

My day is all out of whack. I had to take lover to the airport for a business trip waaaaay earlier than I ever wake up. But I didn’t want the day to slip away without a post!

Last week we attended a cocktail party, and these nails were a hit:

The glitter doesn’t have polish, so after I put the glitter on, I had to use the special nail art saver polish. I tried to use just clear nail polish, but that didn’t work at all. Make sure your nails are dry though before putting the nail saver stuff on because otherwise the colors run.

Remember, Corporate Fire is only $0.99 today and tomorrow!

Corporate Fire on Sale for $0.99!

Corporporate-Fire-FOR-WEBToday through Thursday, Corporate Fire is on sale for $0.99 at Amazon! Here’s an excerpt to whet your appetite:

10| The Second Date

After reading several tips and suggestions, Grace sorted through her clothes. Royce was right about waiting for intercourse: it would be better if she wasn’t reeling from her job loss, her broken leg, her new relationship with him. Still, she felt like someone binging after a long, restricted diet and having her doughnut ripped out of her hand. She wanted to make love to him all night, she wanted them to feel together the intense pleasure she’d just experienced.

Her hands shook as she sorted out her clothes and changed. It really shouldn’t be so nerve racking to offer a guy a blow job. That’s what they all wanted, right?

The ache in her leg didn’t help, but she refused to take her medicine. She didn’t want him to think she was offering because her brain was loopy.

She put on her red knit pajama shorts and white cotton cami—not lacy lingerie, but she hadn’t planned on being with a man tonight. She was supposed to be dining alone and returning to her room to work on her app. She folded up her dress, placed it in the outside compartment of her suitcase and zipped it shut. What a depressing night that would be compared to how it’d turned out, broken leg and all. She collapsed back into bed, exhausted from the effort. After resting for a moment, she ticked off the techniques she’d read about online for giving good oral sex to a man, but she knew she’d already forgotten some. She grabbed her phone to refresh her memory. When Royce knocked on the door a few minutes later, she closed the window and put the phone on the nightstand.

“Come in,” she called.

She heard the whir and click of the electronic lock before the door swung open. Royce stood in a black t-shirt tucked into jeans. The stubble over his bruise gave him a bad boy air that turned her on.

He said, “Hey, sexy.”

Who was he kidding? She was just in her cotton pajamas. She wrinkled her nose at him. “Sorry, I didn’t bring any lingerie with me.”

“Are you kidding? There’s nothing more enticing than a woman looking comfortable. I love that you didn’t brush out your hair.”

She combed her hands through her hair, just realizing she hadn’t brushed it. She’d been too worried about blow job techniques. But that’s not what she told him. “Shoot, I got distracted by my leg. The pain makes it hard to think straight.”

“Don’t worry, it’s a big turn on. It reminds me of what happened here just a little while ago.”

Nails and Sales!

Good morning! I’ve been enjoying having fancy nails so much, that I went out and bought a nail kit:

I thought it had a lot of fun colors for the summer and tools that would make designs easier. The first thing I tried was using the fine tipped brush to make musical notes:

IMG_1722It was pretty tricky doing the nails on my right hand because I’m right handed, but overall I liked how they looked.

I’ll be posting some more pics this week of my experiments. Also, Corporate Fire will be on sale for $.99 starting tomorrow! Friday it goes up to $1.99 and next Monday, it’ll be back to full price of $3.99. I hope you check it out!

Grill Night

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I had one of the best outdoor grill meals ever!

I went over to my publicist’s house and she started me off with an Irish Mule–a drink I’ve never had before. Yum! Here’s the recipe:

1.5 oz. Whiskey (She served expensive Jameson so I was living the high life!)
Ginger beer
Bitters
Large wedge of lime

Fill a copper mug with ice. Pour over the whiskey followed by the ginger beer. Stir and add bitters. Squeeze lime over it and drop the wedge in. She didn’t have a fancy copper mug, but it was still awesome. Aparently sometimes it’s served with mint sprigs. Here’s a pic I got from Canstock:

canstockphoto26720077She also grilled these amazing burgers from the food network!

23. Hoisin Burger Make Classic Burger patty (No. 1). Mix 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce and 1 tablespoon each soy sauce, rice wine and honey; brush on the patty and broil 4 minutes per side, brushing with more sauce. Serve on an Asian-spiced bun (No. 22) with broiled scallions and mayonnaise.

But she added grilled pineapple instead of scallions and it was incredible!

Thanks for the great grill Samantha!

I hope everyone ate as well as I did!
