The Beautician and the Billionaire Episode 2: Scene 5b

Conor sat back and studied Roy and Marie. Relief was written all over Roy’s body from his relaxed shoulders to the way he held the canister in one hand at his side rather than clutching it to his chest.

Marie, however, crossed her arms under her breasts and narrowed her eyes. Roy was of average to short height and Conor guessed that in heels, Marie probably stood as tall as him. Odd that after her defiant years in college she’d let Roy run her life at all. But it didn’t sound like she was going to be agreeable now.

She said, “Actually, I was in negotiations with Conor. I think he has a more interesting job for me at his floral distributor.” Continue reading

B&B Episode 2: The Contract Scene 5

Conor leaned back in his chair and laced his fingers together. Marie glared at him with her nose turned up, defying him to say no to her request to become a florist. He said, “You want to do floral arrangements? There’s a lot of training that goes on. It’s not something you can jump into.”

“So get them to train me.”

Conor rocked back just a bit in his chair. He recalled that Roy had told him she’d attended Bryn Mawr. “What did you study at Bryn Mawr?” Continue reading

B&B Epsiode 2 The Contract: Scene 3

I’m posting this at midnight because I have something fun planned later today. Please come back to check it out!

In the meantime, enjoy.

The numbers on the pages meant nothing to Conor. He’d been staring at them for about ten minutes without reading them. The flowers should’ve arrived a couple of hours ago and he hadn’t heard a word. Of course, there was no reason she should call him, especially if she wasn’t in favor of him becoming a partner.

Douchey. She probably didn’t want anything to do with him. Continue reading

Vanilla Contract First Date

Mmmmmmmmm.

Vanilla contracts are definitely worth a try.

We were supposed to have our first date with Lover under contract to me on Saturday, but my schedule changed. I sent him an email telling him it would be Thursday night instead. I told him when I’d show up at his house. I wanted a flower offering and my favorite shooter ready to be lit on fire. I also wanted lit candles and Ella Fitzgerald music playing.

He went above and beyond. He had a stem of flowers for me at the door, but the rest of the bouquet was strewn throughout the house. I didn’t take pictures last night, but here’s the bouquet back together:

My favorite shooter is Hot Apple Pie. It’s one part Bailey’s on the bottom, one part Goldschlager on the top. Light on fire. Sprinkle flames with cinnamon to make it spark. Some recipies call for a strong rum to be splashed on top to help light it, but I’m allergic to rum and the Goldschlager lights on fire just fine.

I love the sparks made by the cinnamon. I’m pretty sure I had too many shots, but it was so worth it.

We danced and he rubbed my shoulders and there I’ll end the narrative.

I wouldn’t want every date to be me telling him what to do, but for a sometimes date it was fantastic. Definitely worth a try.

And now, Big News! I’m revealing the cover to Corporate Fire on Monday! It’s Hot!

Contracts and Flowers

Lover and I had a big date Saturday. He showed up with flowers:

IMG_1519It’s not every date that I get flowers, but I love to. In my novels, the hero often gives flowers when he’s wooing the heroine. I know red roses are the standard, but there are so many other flowers in the world besides red roses.

On our date, the movie Fifty Shades of Grey was mentioned. Neither one of us has seen it, and it was only jokingly referred to. Pain is not my kink and I’m a little too alpha to be tied up, but there is no denying women have gone gaga over it.

What’s most interesting to me is as far as I can tell mostly vanilla women are into Fifty Shades. People of the BDSM culture not so much. Does this mean that vanilla women everywhere are asking their husbands/boyfriends to put them under contract? Or are they just getting turned on by the book, having great vanilla sex with their husbands/boyfriends and taking it no further?

On my date with Lover, the questions in my head went much further. Why do contracts have to be about whips and canes? I have done some research into sex contracts and found that an important aspect of the contract that’s often lost in pop culture is the use of the contract to explore each others desires. I find men to be very straight forward about what they want. If they desire a specific sex act or anything really from their partner, they just come out and ask.

But women want their partners to be mind readers. We have this notion that if a man really loves us, they’ll do something for us without us telling them to. Sometimes that happens, but a lot of times not. Wouldn’t a contract be a great way for a woman to let her lover know exactly what she wanted?

I don’t want to force Lover on his knees and whip him. But it would be fun if in the contract he had to show up with a bouquet of gladiolas, a mocha from Starbucks and massage my feet before we go out while I drink the mocha.

So I’ve put Lover under contract for three dates. Of course, that means I’ll be under contract for hime for three dates. I’ll let you know how it goes. I’ll call these blogs The Vanilla Contract.

What would be in your Vanilla contract? Please let me know in the comments below!
