Charisse cringed as Raul made no attempt to hide his shock. He’d been leaning against the car but stood up as soon as he saw them, gaping openly at Charisse. She wanted to turn and run back into the building, but Conor placed his hand in the middle of her back and nudged her forward. Continue reading

Charisse shampooed her last customer’s hair and walked her back to the chair. On the other side of the salon, Letti swept up her station. Everyone else had left, thanks to the frantic scheduling Mei had done. Continue reading

Conor leaned back in his Bugatti sofa and tried to calm the tension over Charisse arriving. It was worsening his migraine. He should’ve made Raul cancel the date. It seemed like it had taken him all afternoon to get ready like he was a woman getting ready for her wedding. Continue reading

Charisse had to leave a message when she called the loan officer back. She busied herself browning onions and chopping potatoes. The apartment filled with the scent of butter, onions and a little bit of garlic. As she poised the knife to slice through another potato, her phone rang. She set the knife down and picked up the phone she’d put on the bar area on the other side of the counter. Continue reading

Charisse’s lips tingled from the contact with Conor. She placed her fingertips on her lips to calm them while she unconsciously tightened her other hand in his. Passion flooded through her just like the day they’d made out in the back of her salon. She wanted to run and kick all her customers and lady luvs out so that she and Conor could resume where they’d left off before Marie had showed up. Her body didn’t want to wait for the loan to come through. Continue reading

Charisse swiped the false eyelashes off the vanity at the apartment she shared with Marie and shoved them in her jeans pocket.

“Hey!” exclaimed Marie. “Give those back.”

“No way. You’re not wearing those eye spiders tonight. This is a conservative cocktail party, not a sorority bash.” Continue reading

Becoming a Romance Heroine: The Bondage Dress

I hope you’re having a fabulous evening. I know yesterday I said this post would be “the first date.” It still is, but since it’s the Erotica Blog Hop, I decided “The Bondage Dress” had a racier sound.

I’ve gone back and forth about posting the picture because I really didn’t pick out the dress thinking about bondage (it’s not my kink). After the comments in the Shoes post, I realized the dress looked totally bondage style. But I suspect every good romance heroine trying to snag her alpha male has something of a hint of bondage (like sandals 🙂 )

So here is the new dress I bought for my first date as a Romance Heroine:

502 (2)

It has a gold circular collar and then a long chain down the back (I know, how could I not think bondage on seeing it).

So now I had my nails done, my new shoes my lover bought me and my new dress. Here is the first date as a romance heroine written in the style of a romance story:

I stood at the door and took a deep breath. He hadn’t told me what we were doing that evening, so I could be way overdressed. And what if I looked ridiculous? This was way beyond my usual style.

I rolled my shoulders back and stood tall in my high heels. Fuck it. We always had fun and could just laugh off my attempt at being a romance heroine if I didn’t look as good as I hoped.

I let myself in and was immediately invited to the back porch by the sound of the fountain flowing outside. I stepped out onto the patio and saw he had a drink ready for me in a dark cobalt glass. He was dressed a lot more casually in shorts that showed off his muscular legs and a dark t-shirt, but the look on his face told me I had dressed exactly right.

“Hey Drake,” I said, clutching my purse in my hands. I still had something I needed to ask him and found myself nervous over that too.

Instead of saying anything, he stood up and offered me the blue glass. He watched as I took a sip, and I could feel heat between us even though we didn’t touch. I gave him back the glass, and he finally said, “You look great.”

My face flushed as I thanked him. “Could you do me a favor?”

His eyes were still taking me in as he said, “Anything.”

I rolled my lips together. “I need pictures for my blog, like of my shoes and nails and this dress. You know, for the romance heroine series.”

“I get to take pictures of you looking like this?”

I smiled and shed all my nervousness. I have no idea what he had planned for that evening, but whatever it was, we never got to it. I’ll close the door here since this is my actual life, but the rest of the night was smokin’ hot.

A few business details before I go: remember if you choose to follow my blog or post comments during the next to weeks, I’ll put your name in a drawing for an Amazon gift card and a Starbucks gift card. Please visit today’s blog hop interview at Anais Morgan’s blog!
