In Masked Hearts Sienna can’t bring herself to accept any gifts from sexy single dad Mark…even after breath taking sex. But Mark won’t let her leave without them:
Sienna’s whole body shook as she tried to get her sandals back on. What the fuck was she doing with this guy? She’d tied herself up for him but she wouldn’t speak to him. Everything about him was over-the-top wonderful, and she still couldn’t open her heart the tiniest crack. She’d really let Glen fuck her up.
When she finally managed to get her shoes on, she dug into her purse for her keys. Her hand grabbed a box instead. She pulled it out and found the gift Mark had left for her on the table. She fell to her knees and stared at it in her hands. After a few moments, she took the top off. Four handcrafted chocolates stared back at her. They each had a unique decoration: a bat, a pumpkin, a witch’s hat and a spiderweb.
They smelled like the richest chocolate she’d ever tasted, with a hint of caramel or maybe toffee. She put the lid back on. She shouldn’t keep it. The petals he’d shredded from the bouquet he’d given her last night surrounded her. She clutched the box as if she feared the chocolates would be somehow torn apart if she left them. That was a silly thought, but leaving the box would probably anger him. She slipped it into her purse, grabbed her keys and walked out the door.
The chocolates in Masked Hearts were inspired by the Moonstruck Chocolate Halloween line. I was lucky enough to find their spider and pumpkin truffles in a local grocery store yesterday.
Congratulations to Gamer Girl and Brenda H.! They won the truffles! Thanks to all who entered. Remember to enter the Kindle Giveaway!

Fondest memory of a special chocolate from my college town. A square of dark chocolate with a liquid center of chocolate espresso syrup and little crispy coffee bits.

We Don’t really celebrate Halloween in Australia. So really I’d be excited about any form of confectionery. Especially chocolates that ooze with gooey goodness ^_^

Spooky chocolate are a great idea, but a really romantic lover (who is wealthy) would add a nice pendant in the shape of a lovely mask, made from fancy colored stones and/or diamonds.
